Fuel System Evaporation!!!

Hey everyone, on monday my Check Engine light came on and I took it in that day to autozone to get the code that was in the memory setting off the light. After I got the code, I got the problem from honda and it was evaporation from the fuel system. Its happened before when I didn't turn the gas cap on tight enough, but after that, I have been putting the cap on tight since. Well, the dealership said wait 3 days and it should go off, but it hasn't. Today I filled up my gas tank as well, but the light didn't go off. Could it be possible that the gas cap could have gone bad or something. It is as old as the car, 2001. Thanks.

gas caps do go bad, try and have your fuel system pressure tested. it may be something and dumb as a cap or may not.
