need help to install a tachometer

hey, i have a 2002 civic si,( canadian) and i just got a tachometer and i wanted to now how to install it as effecient and clean as possible.......... thanks.......

If anyone could help just message

there should be a blue wire by itself next to the battery with a black connecter on it. that will b your rpm signal than all u need is power (switched) and ground. oh and a good place to mount it!! good luck

but where is the blue test wire..... i cant find it......

I used that wire but my tach is always off...

It either reads way to high or not enough.....

what kind of tach do you have? some tachs have a code you have to set in the back for 4,6,8 cilinder. i have mine conected to the tach wire by the battery and i havnt had any problems. if anyone wants to see were the wire is at ill take a pic.

Yeah, the Autometer has 2 sets of wires in the back for the # of cylinders, but I've hooked them up boths ways and it still dosen't work

ok i have a pic of where the blue tach wire is and a pic of what i mean by code on tach is a little blury but you can still see it. the tach should have a green wire coming out now thats the one that you connect to the blue one thats by the battery and also the power cable should be on in order for it to work atleast mine does
