off the line accelleration diff between LX and EX?

I have both and the LX seems to push mee into the seat more off the line. Has to be my imagination because other than the VTEC the motors are the same. Why would there be any difference? If anything they should take off the same and the VTECoutperform on the high end. Did the EX sacrifice low end on the VTEC?

Yeah, the EX is much heavier, cause of all the added accessories like a moonroof

yes gears are shorter.

1st is shorter, and the final drive ratio is also diff.

so each gear is pretty much diff. cuz of the shorter first gear.

Actually the EX has the shortest of all the gearing, and then the lx and dx in the middle and the HX has the longest.

here's a spreadsheet I made showing how the cars are geared as well as what speeds they're going at a given RPM, you can also play around with changing tire sizes and everything
