Finaly getting L.S.D

Well as soon as I get my reply from phantom grip ensuring me that theyre conversion kit will fit my car Im ordering it and the upgraded spring kit. I figure that should realy help get all this power down to the wheels.

I thought phantom grips were closer to a locker than an lsd (they keep the wheels locked together left to right whereas a true lsd distributes power depending on traction conditions....). At least this is what they used to teach us as a Jeep Jamboree Guide....

Actualy I talked to a person w/ $1300 dollar mugen diff and he said he likes his phantom grip better. It is justa locker that slips into your stock diff, when cornering the power will transfer to one wheel or another in a straight line both wheels lock. I got it for $299+29 for the upgraded springs for up to 650 HP.

Wow... that may shift me into keeping my d17 instead of a K20. Let us know how it is to install and then some updates on the traction.... please please please...

The problems associated w/ it are cuased by the Diff. pin coming loose. The kit now includes a new diff pin w/ locling clips. So I should be fine, and honestly having this much power will eat the stock open diff anyways.

Some people have blown out their spider gears, since its not a true replacement differential. PLUS - with all of the money its going to cost to have the shop install it (I don't recommend this be done by an amateur - I consider myself an amateur when it comes to transmissions), why not do it right the first time, instead of half-assed?

I'd spend the money to get you a new caps lock button, or even a new keyboard to prevent that post from seeing the day of light again.

As far as I know, there is no direct replacement LSD tranny for the d17. But I maybe wrong. Unless you go to the K20A option, then you better get the LSD tranny.

See this thread - http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=352004 for all of the info you need. They are charging you only $300 to install it? Are you + that it includes ALL labor? Most shops charge $500 MIN because they have to tear the transmission apart to get to the differential.....I'd be sure before investing all of this money into this crap...
