Removing hood trim

ah damn. i just wrote the whole message and it got deleted because "the server [was] too busy"

anyway, i was wondering if anyone here has removed his/her hood trim piece. i tried taking mine off the other day; i unscrewed the four black plastic screws, so the sides came loose. but, like those of you who have done this before know, the middle is still "clipped" onto the hood. i tried sticking a pen, and then a screwdriver into the little hole where the black plastic clip is visible, but it wouldn't budge.

does anyone have any suggestions? am i even doing it right? well, if anyone with experience knows, please post

i appreciate the help. thanks
