What would be a good price to sell my car for??

04 Civic Ex coupe
Magnesium Metallic
5 speed
Tinted windows
Injen intake
Purchased new from dealer on Nov. 13th 2003.
5100 miles

Obviously still in mint condition and has been garaged about 80% of the time.

I may need to get rid of it.

I've looked on Auto Trader and have seen dealers advertise the 03's with under 10,000 miles for about $15k to $16k. My goal is to sell it outright. No trade in. I may have to sit on it for a while....

but do you really think a dealer will pay you what he's going to be selling your car for? They buy low and sell high like any other smart business shopper.


You'll probably get the best deal from the dealership anyways since it's only been slightly modded (they may ask you to return the filter to stock) unless you can find some gullible kid who thinks that an aftermarket intake adds +50 hp.

 

I'd be better off selling it privately to another private party. Trade in value tends to be way less that what you can sell it privately for. I'm sure the trade in value is probably about $12-$13k. That's where dealers make all their $$.

I love the car, but I'm getting into real estate and I can't exactly haul clients around in a 2 door Civic. So, I'm either selling this, or just getting a third car. The TL is leased, so we can't put a ton of miles on it.

if you come with the car ill give a good price...j/k car looks good so you should have no problems selling private

 

LOL.... that won't be happening. Thanks for the 01-03 tails though. Slick me put the lights in the wrong holes at first. And us 04 owners don't have that 4th small light on the side. I was wondering if I should waste the time splicing one in. Anyway.... Thanks!
