removing an interior dash kit
i just bought one of those kits off ebay for the interior of that car. They sent me the wrong color, i ordered a silver kit and got a chrome. So regardless i am pissed and want to remove it. Any good way to remove it. I am assuming that goo-gone and some time will eventually take it off, but i am not sure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
BTW if anyone wants to buy a chrome interior kit for a 4-DOOR 2003 UP civic let me knwo i will hook it up. Not all the pieces were installed only the center pieces. All the doors and other things have not been installed.

take a blow dryer and heat up the trim pieces, then take dental floss or similiar material to cut through the glue. then goo gone.. then either sand the pieces down and paint em, or get another dash kit
good luck.... ive done it w/ 3 diff. dash kits and thats how i got it to come off

yah thats what i did, i think i am going to paint it this wekeend or maybe as a spring break project. thanks for all the help! that 3m tape really sticks well.
ohh abd btw DONT USE THE GOO-GONE GEL....it is a pain to remove and it doesnt work all that well. I found that the goof-off spray in a can professional grade works a lot better....smells but removes stuff with more ease!
