Question How do I oil my bearings?

I've been getting an intermittent squeal from my engine compartment. There's no real pattern to it. A friend just said that it may be that my bearings need to be oiled, but I have no clue what that means or how to do it. It couldn't hurt to do it, so can anyone give me an idea of how it's done?

Thanks

I'm not sure which bearings he's referring to. Why don't you just ask him to be more specific and ask him how to do it.

Main crank bearings are oiled by the oil that is pressurized by the oil pump. If you have sufficient oil and the pressure is up, then they are already being oiled. IF not you engine would blow up.

Other than changing your oil, there is not a service procedure for oiling your bearings.

You may have a squeaking belt or the alternator or power steering pump is failing.
