hp gains with certain mods
ok, first off id like to say sry for all my posts, ive been a true post ***** these past few days. just been going crazy trying to figure out what i want to do with my car. thanks to all those who posted their thoughts and the such. and i promise i wont post as much from now on.
no onto my question. i want to get the following mods (which i actually have a few of already) how much hp do i look to gain? ok so i got I/H/E, aem pulley kit, denso spark plugs, and i plan on getting a reground camshaft, cam gear, crankshaft pulley, and the greddy emanage ecu piggyback. are any of these mods pointless? if u can list how much hp id actually gain from each mod. thank you.

I/H/E = 5whp
aem pulleys = 0-1whp
denso = 0whp
car gear = 0-1whp
Look into DH-racing crank pulley = 10whp
DH-racing ported head work = 25whp
SF turbo kit = 89whp
Most of the mods you mentioned won't give you any difference. Maybe a little, but nothing you can feel. Save up for the better mods.

And catalyst is pushing 270 last I heard but that is with dh racing ported and polished head and the sf kit with all upgrades running at 11psi. But our clutch wont hold past 200tq.
um every time i have looked the rsx type s engen alone is 6 grand. and if your going to get a shop to do all the changes to the tranny and put it in its going to run you 8 grand how is 3+1.5 even close to 6

ok, ive finally decided! ill go turbo. ok so tell me if any of this stuff is pointless or if i need something else. what kind of #'s would i get? and how much would be a safe lvl of boost to run daily with these mods, dont forget i have a 2001 lx automatic.
full catback exhaust
aem pulley kit
spark plugs
turbo kit
crank pulley
grounding kit (heard gives better idle/throttle response)
cam gear
greddy emanager
turbo timer
dhracing head port
lower compression(8.6-8.8:1) forged pistons
torque converter
tranny cooler
tranny racing upgrade
resleeve the engine
this is everything i have in my engine build list(want to be sure of what im doing before i even start). any suggestions? numbers? comments? ideas? etc?

For the crank pulley, I would only get the DH racing one. All the rest cause problems with the engine. AEM pulleys don't do anything. Almost all pulley power you gain from the crank. Cam gear isn't needed either. All the rest of those mods will give you crazy power.
I've heard safe boost is between 4-5psi, but some run 8-10 sometimes. Exhaust will also help more with the turbo, as will the ported head.

I wouldn't waste my money on all that stuff on an LX Automatic. You're gonna break your tranny. Maybe you should look into trading in your car. I'm thinking about getting the GTI 1.8 Turbo. Easy mods will yield nearly 200 hp at the crank.

Did you notice the tranny coolor, torque converter, and racing tranny? Those and the other mods on his list will bring a civic well above 200 hp at the WHEEELS.

Sorry, just posting my opinion. The AEM intake I got gave me negative hp in the lower rpms, and the exhaust didn't give me any, either. Just my own experience. I could feel more of a gain from switching rims that were 2lbs lighter.
