does anyone else high flow cat make a whistling sound ? its a topspeed high flow cat and i have hp headers and exhaust it has no leaks gasket and everyhting and it has a slight whistling sound just need to know if anyone else hears this

whrere can i cop a topspeed hi flow cat at? i have a dcsports exhaust .. you know the twin canaster one and dc sports headers.. i know this doesnt have to do with your question but if can find where to get this i iwll ask them the question about your whistleing noise.. please let me know

If im rite the sound that you are hearing is a leak, but i can be wrong cause i dont have a hi flow cat. but I would share the situation like you cause i also hear a whistling sound to and its due to a leak. I run straight pipe from header to exhuast.

no its not a leak i went to the muffler shop and everyhting was kool

its probably just the air circulation moving from the header into the cat...my friends integra does the same, or did...after a while you get used to it and the hum of the exhaust or whine of the intake takes over

maybe the sound doesn't come from the exhaust? maybe somewhere else in your car

no it started when i installed the high flow cat and i can hear it it isnt anything else

does the sound irritate you? or is a deep whistle sound? if yes it is your high flow catback, try askin another person who also got the same cat as yours if he hears that whistle sound

I have no problems with mine, but I had all the flanges and such welded unless together by gaskets. Before I welded them I still didn't hear nothing-so I would have to say its some leak or something internal.
