b&g'z or hayame coilovers
hi i been reading the forums on the b&g and hayame coiloverz.. i was wondering which has a better ride quality for a daily driving ? i plan to just drop my car 2 inches with 17 inch gunmetals and a spc camber kit with 205/40/17 tires ... i like the damper settings for the b&g'z but i dont know if the hayames r a good quality because no one has had it for a long time and it doesnt have damper settings.. the hayames r 650 shipped while the b&gz are 890 shipped... has anyone drove on a civic with both of these coilz ?i read the b&gz are good but sometimes make noise but i havent heard anything bad about the hayamese except if it blows it would be 100 for each shock to get replaced .... anyone with any information, it will be greatly appreciated.thanks....
only have b+gs i love them the ride is ok not as smoth as i thought but alright the ping noise was pretty bad for me for the first 4 weeks now i rarly hear it and if i do its quieter haven't taken car on real hard turns but it is an improvment over stock........

B&Gs aren't cheaper. They are around $1000. They are also self adjusting in terms of dampening unlike the hayames which don't have any adjustment in the dampening.

B&G cost more to replace but they offer a warantee. i think its 18 months? they shouldnt blow tho. their filled w/ special gas that allows alot of pressure w/o busting. i can get u they hayame/dropzone/zenn (their all the same thing as i said b4 @ 600. but i cant get the B&G that cheap.lowest i can go since u dont personally own a business and their not for "resale" etc is 907.00 whioch is damn high if u ask me. i'd recommend the hayame casue i heard they go lower and accoridng to guy w/ black cpupe and focal f5 rims....idk hsi name. their easy to use and offer alot of options. basically ina nut shell the shocks shoudlnt blwo the only reason our oem's blow is their not made for a drop. these are psecifically designed for a drop

I would go for Hayames. B&G says they're "self adjusting" but truth is all shocks are "self-adjusting". I'm sure they ride similar but for the price hayame offer so much more than b&gs. Also hayames probably would have a less chance of blowing out because of the 3rd locknut. Reason why alot of these springs/coilovers blow out stock shocks is because your reducing the shock travel by 2" thus putting more strain on it. B&Gs and tein that dont have the 3rd locknut work the same. When you lower 2" you put that much more stress on the shock. the shocks that come on b&g and tein can probably handle it BUT its still not as good as it would be at stock height. And thats the difference with Hayames, you lower the car but the shocks still think its at stock height because your not compressing it any further at 3" than at .5"
