lighten flywheel?
lighten flywheel?
is it advisable to have a ACT lighten flywheel with an ACT stage 2 extreme clutch set when you have an all-motor set-up? set-up is "in the future" (I/H/E, PNP, AEM camgear, DH-racing camshafts, valve springs, titainum retainers and pullies, phantomgrip LSD), beacause i read a post here that if you are into dragracing and all-motor set-up you should have a stock flywheel, thnx!

camshafts??? if you didnt know we have only one cam but anyway heres my view...
A lightweight flywheel will improve acceleration dramatically but you'll have to take into consideration that you WILL spin more off the line if you plan on taking that setup to the track. This is because when you launch at lets say 3000 RPM (Great launch RPM ) and you mash the throttle, youll spin the tires due to the lightweight flywheel. So I advise you to feather the throttle a little more if you dont want to stay at the line spinning the tires.
But from a rolling start, there's nothing to worry about. You'll have better acceleration so you'll be a little more competitive. And thats a good starting setup by the way.
