it can range from $500 to $800 for one. sometimes even more.. depending on the brand/type/quality of the cf hood
i've heard cheaper then $500... but with those, the edges arent rounded off.
im am looking into the cf hood's that are rounded off.

VIS isn't that good, i just came back from Cali and talked to a lot of people
they are made in taiwan. comes from the same place as the ones you get locally except they have the VIS badge underneath...not worth the extra money

I wouldn't mind a custom 1.7EL CF hood
Things to keep in mind:
- thief magnet... So you better have a very good alarm
- In weather like this, CF is brittle at low temps... You'd be taking that thing off in the winter, just like any other piece of bodykit. I even took out my CF umbrella from my trunk.
- You get into an accident, and if you or anyone breathes the broken CF fibres, and you're toast... Think of CF fibres as microscopic fish hooks. You breathe those suckers in, and they hook into your lungs, and you die from internal bleeding / lack of oxygen to your lucks / drown in your own blood.

is there such thing as same quality but no name brand for cf hoods?
but if so... wouldnt it be just the same reason why i would looking into different types 'cause of Gusto's comment?
but honestly..i dont care. they all seem the same to me, but for sure.. id ont want no low quality stuff.
i.e. scale of 1 to 10. has to be a min. 7 for me.
but i'll just go with the majority.
