my locks dont work at all not even my keyless entry and yes the battery is fine, mine is like the fuse is blown or something, but it works when the car is on only, on the drivers door. Wierd thing is that when I try to lock the doors when the car is off and the power is off the doors wont lock. I have to turn the ignition to 2 then flip the switch to get the passenger door down also
I have the same problem, first the passenger power lock stopped working, then, after a few weeks, driver's power lock didn't worked either, I took it to the dealer and they said it was the left "actuator" or something like that, not the fuse, but since it was hollidays, they couldn't get the part shipped from the factory and it shall arrive on the 15th... what year is your car? mine's a 2001...

^^ lol... like a week after I got my car my passenger side window and lock wouldn't work and I got pissed.... then I noticed the child protection button was pressed... easiest fix ever...
This happened to me the other day, i couldn't lock my doors, not even with my keyless entry remote. I could unlock it but not lock it. and you know how when you start your car, the doors lock automatically, they didn't even do that. but the next day, everything worked fine. i have a 2001 ex. this happened to a friend of mine also, only with his cruise control. one day it didn't work and the next day, it was fine.
i had the same problem....the problen that you guys have on your car
is your "door actuator" is not working....
that's the motor for both power door looks..
call honda and ask for a price on the "door actuator"

things like that suck. i'd think honda would replace them for free, or just charge for the mechanic's fee. things that you have to get replaced so soon should be free, and you shouldn't have to pay for them. Unless, you go in there, and start screwing around with it. Things that we have no control over breaking shouldn't cost us $$$$$
I was driving my parent's camry once when they were out of town, took a trip to a city about 30 miles away, and when i went to go to leave, i started the car up, to move it around to help a friend with their car. But then when I went to turn it off, the engine wouldn't cut off. It would rev down, idle a little, then rev back up like it was starting. turned out to be a faulty ignition starter. That COST US! I don't think things like that should! Just my opinion.

did a quick search, and found this thread. passenger side door lock is refusing to work in my car. went to honda and made a quick appointment for next week. i only have 8,000 miles on my 03 so warranty will cover the problem. hopefully its a minor fix.

number 32 is door actuator. the question i have is does it control both the driver side and passenger door.
I know this topic was a little old, but I just recently had the exact same problem with my drivers side lock. It comes and goes I think the motor is going bad in the actuator. I looked up a few places online and the cheapest I could find the part for was $39 plus shipping which beats the hell out of the dealer's price. But the local place that installed my alarm just told me today though that they'll fix it with an OEM actuator for $40 installed (parts and labor) so I'm just going to have them do it. It seems like this is a very common problem though on civics huh? I wonder how many have to go bad before they do a recall and install better actuators, because that shouldn't happen.

ok, i had the same exact problem. My passenger power door lock stoppped working on my COUPE.
AFter investigation, the power door lock actuator on the Passenger side was just dead. I guess after 4 years of use it died. I bought part number 3. THe entire right door lock assembly, it inculdues the actuator. Its only like 50 bucks, and the install is plug and play.
now my Passenger door locks opens and closes like new!

you said it is plug and play, how do you get the old actuator out after you take the panel off? Where did you get it all for $50 and how do I know it is the actuator.
Ok - silly question.
Where is the "Child Protection Button"
As stated earlier "check and see if the child protection button is depressed?"
I have a 2002 Civic EX Coupe with power locks. The Passenger side door will not lock/unlock with either the remote nor the lock switch on the door.
Is it the Actuator or is it something else.
Thanks,
Mike
