Xmas Present....totally suprised

My parents got me a new headunit for christmas. I was really suprised.

It is a Pioneer DEH-P8500MP cd/mp3/wma receiver that is XM ready. They also got me the Pioneer GEX-P910XM XM satellite digital tuner and the subscription to XM radio.

Im so happy. I'll get pics up once everything is installed, probably going to do it tomorrow.

This is what they got me.

ya it was pricey. im sooo happy. i want to go install right now....but i got family so ya know, gotta do the "family thing" for a bit. any suggestions on where to mount the antena? the photo shows on the roof above the rear window, i dont know how that will look though. is there any other place, say on the front dash or rear deck lid where i could mount it, or does it have to go on the roof?

I've heard of people putting it on the rear deck all the way to the back and getting reception with no problems.

Let us know how the XM is. If it's worth getting for music. I've always been interested in it, but not sure if it was worth the $.

not to be a downer but i have been looking into both xm radio and sirius. Xm has lots of stations but still has commercials where sirius doesn't. I am looking into sirius myself.

sirius also has 3 satelittes while XM only has 2 and one of those 2 is going bad. Sirius also has a fourth on the ground for backup. I've been looking into them both a lot lately for various reasons, but from what I know of the two, Sirius is better.
