System question

Okay, heres what im running:

-JL Audio 12w3 (V2D4)
-Alpine 700watt (350rms) Vpower Amp (monoblock)
-Basic box

Hooked all this **** up, sounds good, got everything from Hifi Buys (or Tweeter depending on where you live) and bought the amp kit and monster cable **** from them too. They sold me 8g, no questions asked.

Well, talking to Prod on IM, i mentioned that to him and he was like RIP THAT **** OUT, it will "hinder" your W3.

GIVE ME YOUR VIEWS. I dont see why 8g is so bad for what im running...

nope, 8g is plenty for that much power, and that setup sounds perfectly fine. right amount of power for a dub3...

Thats what I thought. I knew I wanted a 12w3 and wasnt sure about the amp. Hifi Buys recommended this one to me (or actually my mom who bought it for me for x-mas, i love you mom! lol)

HAHA Prod, OW3d!

8 gauge will work but prod isnt wrong cause 4 gauge will work also. i have 4 gauge but that;'s cause i have a 5 channel 800 wat amp. it doesnt hurt to go bigger just hurts to go smaller.
