Cleaning the Throttle Body..
Cleaning the Throttle Body..
Hey ya'll..I'm sort of a newbie dealing with cars...but lately my automatic transmission civic 02.(25,000 mileage) .has been really laggin in acceleration..i got a fuel injection service.but Nothing improved i wasted $50...i'm guessing my spark plugs are good..I've just noticed that when I push the gas..it's not as clear and easy going any more...it feels more rough and hard when I accelerate the gas pedal..so my question is..can this be due to a dirty throttle body? I want to clean my throttle body ...but I was wondering...how Do I actually go about doing this..I'm guessing that my throttle body and combustion area is dirty or something..and what brand of throttle body cleaner would u guys recommend...please help a newbie..thanks.
dude just take off your air filter adn use starting fluid in there on a paper towel just make sure you DONT" get anythign left in there and just spray a little extra in there then use 93 or better gas with 2 of the stp fuel injector cleaner that shoudl help use royal perpal oil 5-30 its a little expencive put it helps and use the bosh 4 point plugs or NGK irdiam (the best ones i have them) thast shoudl just abotu due it dude hope it helps
