Run the power cable, then splice your rear speakers to the speaker level inputs on your amp [if it has them]. I think that most amps that have speaker level inputs also sense automatically when to turn on and off from the inputs, so you don't need to hook up a turn-on lead.

If it doesn't, you can get a line level convertor to convert the rear speaker line to rca inputs.

a simple LOC (line output converter), they range from something low like $10 to some high prices like $50. they basically get an input signal from the speaker wires coming out of the deck, then converts that to low level signal (which is basically an rca cable). just go to a shop and ask for a line out converter.

i think the cig, outlet might but out too much power and could possibly damage the amp..but this is a guess.

if you splice into the back speakers, and run those wires to the line level inputs on the amp. it should turn on automatically and not need a remote.

what kind of amp do u got?

and i think the plastic piece has two bolts at the bottom of it that you need to remove. check the DIY section...it will be there.

theres no such thing as too much power to a remote.

you can run 0 gauge to your remote off a bank of 16 batteries and it wont be a damn difference.

remember, you dont send things power, the load takes the power and uses whatever it needs.

then why you ask is the remote wire so small?

because it doesnt NEED anymore than that
