does the new digital mileage readout stay locked within the cluster if it is taken out and put in another car or will it adjust to the car it is put in? in other words if i take the cluster from a car with 5000 miles and put in a car with 7000 miles when i turn the key on will it read 5000 from the car that the cluster came out of or the car i am putting it into? thanks

the cluster has its own miles. it will keep the ones it has regardless of how many miles are on the car.

but there is a way to reset it? i mean how else could a dealer put in a new one if it had to be replaced, right?

the dealer puts a disclaimer sticker on the door jamb by your weight and tire information. but there are some speedo shops that can do it, its pricey tho. a local shop in this area charges about 150 to do it.
