I don't get it....

The RSX has a stock alarm, just like my EL. Based on the pictures and the description, the thieves (I'm assuming more than one) broke the rear quarter window on driver side... How the hell did they manage to snake thru there, to get to the glove compartment? Opening the doors would cause the stock alarm to scream....

Mind you, I remember seeing pics a loooong time ago of how some guys drilled a hole, and cut back the front bumper of an ITR, just so they could get to the battery and disconnect the alarm... And then they stole everything, but the chassis and the front bumper (since they cut it.)

FurBall: what you said might be true....but maybe the owner..for some stupid reason left his wheel lock in the back seat ?? and that's how the car alarm didn't go off ?? i dunno just a thought.

I don't know... looks suspiscious! I agree with Furball, the stock alarm would go off if he had unlocked the driver door since he broke the rear quarter window. Inside job./..

if you open the lock from the inside (stock honda alarm), the alarm won't go off! silly huh? meaning anyone can just smash a window and pull up the lock thingy and the alarm won't go off...

Wait, that can't be true. First day I got my RSX I armed it while still sitting inside the car, without thinking I opened the door, then the alarm went off. So in the RSX the alarm goes off when you open the door from the inside.

Heck, I think it even does that in the EL. Arm your car with the window down and then open the door and see what happens.

I keep my wheel lock in the trunk with the tire kit. My trunk is locked, the seatback is locked and the pop lever is locked. Its the only way.
