I really wanted to remove the pinstripe. It looks bad, but it seems that someone actually painted it on! Is there something that will take it off? Scraping doesn't work.

ushually a paint shop wil take 2000 grit sand paper and sand it off then polish the area back to a shine.

a buffer could get it of... i could take it off inlike 5 minutes..LOL.. go to a paint supply store and by rubbing compound.. use it VERY sparingly.. r8b over the stripe.. it will come off with that stuff. buy the 3m... also, amake SURE you use a polish and waxz after that.. even clay and use a swirl remover if you can.. it is har on the paint, but best way to get it off..

I tried rubbing compound and it didn't work. I stopped after that cause I didn't want the rest of the paint to get ruined. It almost seems like they baked it on at the factory. I can't even scrape it off with fingernails. Any more ideas?

they Painted it on!!? are you sure!! did it come new from honda? if so it should be a sticker..

It's def not a sticker, or I would be able to peel it off. It looks like paint, cause when the two lines overlap it gets thicker. I'm guessijng sandpaper is the only way, but I don't want to ruin the paint.

I actually got some wet/dry sandpaper (1500 grit), but couldn't go through with it. I'll just leave it.

hehe I got one that was a sticker. So freaking hard to remove though. I washed my car and the sticker was all slippery and cracking...so it came out in millions of little slices.

if u use the buffer too long it could remove the clear coat couldnt it?

i think its a dealer option, i dont think honda puts on pinstripe. i dont have any. and i think it makes the car look old. like something from the 80s, cheap coolness if you know what i mean. hahaha. be like homer, get some speed holes too.
