i use to have a alarm but when the remote got fvcked up i disconected it... so i didnt have a alarm when it happened. and my neighbor said that his car got jacked last night too... we were thinking it was the same person.
Some questions for you. 1) Where was the car parked? Driveway? Street? Parking lot? 2) Did your head unit have a detachable face? If so, why did you leave it in the car? If not, why did you buy a head unit without a detachable face if you weren't going to install an alarm at the same time? 3) Did you lock your interior trunk release? If you lock the trunk release (dunno about all Civics...you can do this on the EX), then chances are they aren't going to get to your subs and amp. By the way...I speak from experience. After my $500 deductible, most of which went to a new door handle and a quarter glass (they drilled the door lock out AND busted the left rear quarter panel glass...go figure), I got about 950 bux to replace my amp, subs, get a detailing done, get a new console, new vinyl, and umm..what else...well I guess that's about it. Anyway, check the local pawn shops for your stuff. I found my headunit in a local pawn shop less than a week after it was stolen. Of course I had already installed my newer, much better head unit. In case you don't do this already, write down serial numbers of all your stuff, and also personalize it and take pictures. I.E., scrape your name or some identifying mark in your stuff. Paint mark it or something. Then take pictures. Like I said...I speak from experience. Not that I uhh..ever stole a car stereo...ahem. Someone jacked my shtuff out of my 98 civic a few years ago. Ever since, never had any problems.
At least they left your wiring harness. You know when I had my stuff jacked, I didn't even think to look in the trunk to see if my subs and amp were still there. They closed the trunk (nice of them
And I didn't even look in there until later in the afternoon when the insurance guy showed up. I got mad all over again...hehe. Anyway...goddamn thugs!! Buy your own ****! I work hard for my ****!! Then you bastards gotta steal it!! I'll kill all you motherfvckers!! Ok ...have a nice day!

ok so the police came and took some finger prints.... while i was cleaning all the broken glasses inside the car, again my neighbor came and said that while the police were making the investigation last night, they saw the guys car, inside his car there are different kins of car keys and remotes. they also saw a head unit without a face plate. but they didnt look inside the trunk yet and maybe my subs are in there. but he gave me the police report #. so i might give the phoenix police again to check out maybe the stuff inside the guys car are mine....
here are things he left inside my car.....

alex, jt, chris: if you guys dont give him as much **** as you gave me, then...oh man i remember how much you guys used to give me ****...
good luck man. and stay on the ins co's ***....they are really slow if you dont keep bothering them about it.

well my case is a little different. i got everything at cost so it didnt cost me that much in the first place, but they gave me all new subs, wiring kits and everything which i sold for profit.
for me they didnt send anyone out, they had me go to circuit city and have them do a complete checkup and assess how much everything cost.
honestly dude, if i was in your shoes and now that i know better i would tell them that i had 2 JL 12w7's and they will prolly send you a pair of them. as long as you havent already told them what you had.
i dunno...its really annoying to put up with all this ****. the quicker its over the better.
