Help! Vandals And Spray Paint!!

Well, I get home from a crappy night at the bar to see that someone has clumsily mistaken my car for a canvas or perhaps a wall. Spray paint all over......... yellow....... on the passenger side theres a F*ck Honda, a ***** on my windshield,,,,,,,, x's on all for of my lights, front and back and then random lines and stuff....... i'd post pics but not sure if i'd be allowed to, if an admin gives me the go ahead then i'll do it but give the nod first... anyways, its dry, i tried getting it off but it wont come with elbow grease. Has anyone ever had somehting like this happen to them? or does anyone know how to get the frikin spray paint off my car??? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!! thanx

i'm not sure if you could get spray paint off your car now that its dry. try some stronger solvents like gasoline on a rag. if that doesnt get the spray paint off then you'll probably have to take it to a body shop. insurance should cover it if you have full cover.

Spray paint comes off pretty well with electrical contact cleaner, sometimes WD40, and some other solvents. Usually, the car's paint is MUCH harder than the spray, and won't be harmed.
Try WD40 first, and work up. Try a little spot first with any new solvent. I buy a lot of used stuff, and have gotten pretty good at removing spraypainted tags on equipment without touching the paint under it. Keeping the car well waxed will prevent this as well. It'll come off real easy.
Stupid Honda haters....

Man... What city are you from? Did you have mods or custom paint?

Ive seen a couple people with nice hondas in Canada get totaly ruined by these thugs. It really really gets me down. I would expect that kind of behaviour in other parts of the world but not here in Canada. I hope one day to catch a couple guys in the act and show them the baton I keep in the glove box.

thx tinman and daily driver for the input, i've got a few mods little bolt ons, and the full octane kit, I live in Regina SK. and i guess u can say that vandalism is pretty high here, ppl have no respect. Like car stereo theft is notorious. Worried that if i fix it they'll come do me again, cuz Regina isnt too big and they're bound to see my car sooner or later....

Hey, good to hear that you got the stuff off.

Post the pics if you still want to... before and after, so we can see what a great job you did.

Lots of wax......lots and lots of wax. BTW, talked to a detailer today, and he also uses wd40 to remove spraypaint OR a good cleaner/wax combo will work as well.

Autobody shops us a product called prepsol to clean the surface.

Be sure to wax the car after since the paint will no longer be protected

Meguiar's clear coat body scrub seems to get almost anything off the paint without hurting the finish.
