For those of you who have Plasma Coils - I need some info from the coil itself...
I recently bought some stock barely used coil packs off of Ebay for $25 /4 (not a bad deal at all!). I wanted to try and take them apart to see what the insides looked like, but they seal the whole thing with some sort of black epoxy! The only way I can see in taking this apart is to destroy it. But anyhow, that makes me curious to know how the plasma coils are made. If you look at the bottom flange of the coilpack, a stock one will say "denso" on it. I wonder, since ignition solutions wants the "cores" back if they reuse them.....Can anyone who has the plasma coils look? Its pretty much a simple device, which is why I don't understand why they charge $100 a piece......Lets just say I'm trying to reverse engineer them.....

screw those plasma coils, they are crap... I've went through 2 sets and they suck, according to Ignition Solutions, they use brand new honda coils that they modify to make their plasma coils, which sucks ***....

I know that - I've read all of those posts. I'm trying to see if I can modify my stock coils to do the same thing......It might be difficult, since Denso pusts some sort of black epoxy over the whole thing.
