When you turn your car on your ECU is on an open loop until you car is warmed up. Therefore I wouldn't say it had to do with your choke injector. Now if you've been runnin your car hard it's a possibility you have slight pre-ignition problems. See your problem is called engine surging, ask your local mechanic what this means, and why it happens.
