Dec 7th. Next Nor Cal Meet - Cruise @ Mt. Diablo & PHO *slight change of plans*
Mt. Diablo Meet
Time to meet up at: 12:30pm
Time to depart: 1:30pm
Where to meet up at: Park in Danville - Camino Tassajara and Holbrook Dr (forgot the name of the park)
What to do afterwards: Grab a bit to eat @ Pho World in Milpitas, see a movie, ideas are welcome.
There is a SLIGHT change of plans on where we are going to meet to make the convenience of meeting up easier. Blackhawk Theater has a rather small lot that I found nearly full all around. We will meet at the park that's just down the street from Blackhawk Plaza because it's considerably closer to 680 than the movie theater.
DIRECTIONS: Take 680 and exit the Sycamore Valley Rd exit in Danville. If 580 is the closest freeway to you, take the 680-N junction. If you are coming from 880, take the 238 junction that runs into 580 east. Take the 680-N junction. If you need further directions, let me know!
If you're coming from 680-N, turn right off the exit and keep straight up Sycamore Valley Rd. From 680-S you'll take the LEFT exit that goes under the ramp and keep straight. Sycamore Valley changes into Camino Tassajara. Keep straight and turn left on Holbrook Dr. into the park. The lot will be straight ahead.
If you guys are definitely down, you need to simply check your rides... especially your tires and brakes or any other suspension component which will keep you from going off the mountain, causing an accident, or endangering someone else. I discourage tailgating cuz you may take someone off the cliff with you or in the mountain if you can't stop in time and speeding in areas you can't see ahead of you (blind turns, blind hills, etc.) Don't worry, you'll get another more detailed lecture on safety by yours truly before we head out.
Oh, and what if it rains? That's up to you guys for the most part but I'd still like to meet up, as I know a lot of people are scared of water when it comes to their cars. I'm not gonna recommend going up Mt. Diablo more than simply meeting up somewhere to grab something to eat and hang out. If that's the case, just plan on being hungry and come out and kick it.

for this meet. we need to meet at a certain location at the time we gonna schedule. because this is a cruising meet, being late will leave u cruising alone all by yourself. so make arrangement to be on time.
also, we will have a "real bbq" at a stop somewhere. food will be organized by me. $5 per person to support the food. so dont be cheapo and support the club with your payment.

At any rate I still have to check out both areas for myself and I won't be able to do this till Wednesday (probably) but definitely Friday (or finish checking up on both areas) since that's my day off this week. I want to find out a lot of things about it like:
the road conditions
the traffic (including animals that might be seen on the road)
the distance
the # of pigs
the place we'll settle down at and eat (although i can take someone's word for this)
the parking
I'm gonna have to highly advise anyone who's not familiar with the road to not try and act like they do and drive fast. You're seriously gonna either hurt yourself or possibly hurt someone else. Hit a deer or a racoon but don't hit anyone else.
