The M5 however... that car is over $60k.
If you want one less than 40K, try finding a used one but expect a good amount of mileage on it.

Alright I went to both Mt. Diablo and Mt. Hamilton.
Diablo: Getting to Diablo is a little challenging. First of all, the road is not only narrow but for such a rich area, the road sucks. I couldn't imagine bringing more than 7 cars through there but what the hell. At any rate once on the twisty road going up I felt that the road was still too narrow for any fun type of driving until you're somewhat passed the 1,000 elevation sign, and then it gets to open up and the pavement gets smoother. I saw more bikes on this road than I did cars which probably isn't a good thing. When I reached the gate there was a vehicle entrance fee of $4.00. I only had $3.00 on me at the most so I turned around. Perhaps I'll go back on Sunday... perhaps.
Hamilton: When I found Mt. Hamilton road (from Alum Rock Rd.) I didn't expect to actually test it out upon getting there. An old truck was climbing it going quite fast. This was a semi smart idea... as I *quickly* discovered that the roads here were not even 2nd class as I was speeding around 60-70MPH or so... struts bottoming out, engine furiously revving high, radio going out over the bumps, eating up the pavement. I figured if I had someone to follow then I'd be quite okay. This guy almost lost control of his truck, almost drifting it to the opposite lane when he took a turn too fast. It wasn't fast or anything, but once we had to go really slow around a hairpin-like turn that went uphill I decided to take complete advantage of him by going around him and leaving him... seconds later, I was in another zip code.
When I got there, I noticed there was a sign that said 27 (20-something) miles of curvy road... I'm like... kew! I'm on a 1/4 of a tank of gas and this MIGHT've been ok if I wasn't actually driving my car hard.
But unfortunately... it did become an issue.
I drove my car around the hills quite slowly after passing a fire station. The roads on Mt. Hamilton are horrible. It was the first time I scraped the front of my car (the lift point) by normal driving. The road is very wavy - meaning anybody running stock stuts and stiff lowering springs is gonna get owned. I was going like 20MPH when that occured.
When my gas needle was closing in on the red, I decided to turn around which consisted in me going downhill in neutral to try to conserve gas, but this also meant I had to do a *lot* of braking. Once I reached the fire station my gas light came on... meaning my car was on about 2 gallons of gas. I feel skeptical of going back so I pull in the station. The needle is at the redline and I leave the engine running. I check around their area but no one's there. You'd figure someone would be there since their radio is over a loud speaker in the area. Once back to my car, the gas needle is down to the E, and now I officially know I'm not leaving.
I turn the engine off and just wait for someone to come. I decided to move my car down closer to the road so people could see me and I did this just by letting the car roll downhill with the engine off. Then i realized there was a payphone next to me...
I gotta go to work. (... to be continued... )

Alright, tomorrow I have a day off and I'm gonna do my best to go up the rest of Mt. Diablo. Right now I'm sick but that's not really stopping me from doing anything... well... sleep is though.
I doubt I'll cook. I brought my chicken out like it's a limited edition Type R: There's never enough for everyone, fans want it back by popular demand, and (I think) the chicks dig it.

I know if it rains, no one will want to come out to a meet.
lease: So I'm not even gonna go there with trying to convince people to come. At least BA7Genz generation 1 were pussies about coming to a meet even if it rained. Joined: Feb 2003
