fuel pressure regulator vacuum line ?

i heard people talking about disconnecting vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator, does anyone know what this does ?

dont do it, tats all I know about it, I think it messes with your fuel delivery way more than you would expect it to,on one of my old jeeps, the fuel preasure vacumm hose came off, and the car ran like crap, and liked to stall out.
