I have had my angel eyes for a month or two now and I really like the way they look. Recently, I had to take them off because they began to fog. I put back on the stock headlights and was amazed at how much better the stock assembly's beam pattern was over the angel eyes. You see I road around a while when I first got the angel eyes before I tried to adjust the beams. I was some what satified with the adjustment, but i had really forgot what I should be seeing in the dark (I waited too long to adjust them).

Anyway my question is has anybody tried to switch the low beam bulb's position with the high beam bulb's position so that your low beam is on the inside and the high beam is on the outside. I am asking because I noticed that the beam pattern for the high beam is great but just to bright. I hope someone can help me on this. Kinda give me a tip or two on what I should do to get it to work.

yes u can just switch the red and blue cables for the lo/hi beams... will work just fine.. it worked just fune for me cuz i accidentally had one cable switched so one lit on the inside, and the other lit the projector... looked kinda funky

so are you saying that even though the angel eyes look cooler, the reg stock factory headlights allowed you to see more in the dark??

I tried that idea too. It is too bright.

The projector housing is just too wide open, and the only thing focusing the hi beam is that small chrome pod. It would be bad for the oncoming traffic on the road, because the light gets scattered everywhere. You can try aiming them down, but a lot of light will still shine upwards.

Buy MTEC '2x' h1 bulbs. The light output is only half compared to the OEM housings, but the MTECs are brighter and reliable than most other aftermarket bulbs produced.


I have foglights. They help visablility a lot.

I don't have fog lights but I did buy Mtec bulbs and they seem to work great when it is pitch black outside and the street is dry. But if the street is wet it is like the light bounces off or something and does not really light up anything. And if a car is coming towards me with there lights on I can't even tell that mine are on. How did you know they were too bright. Did you get flashed alot?

No I have not. This is just something I thought of at work.It is rainig today so maybe by the weekend I can try this out.

It's not so much the brightness you should worry about. The glare is more important. Since you're using h1s for both hi and low beams, they are the same brightness. Its just that they are projected differently.

I went to a parking lot and faced towards a wall from about 20 feet away. The center of the beams were about at 2.5 feet from the ground, so they were aimed properly. But, the light was very scattered and the peak of the light was about 4 feet up (could be blinding to others).

Stand in front of your lows, and stand in front of yourhi beams. Compare them. With my hi beams, pretty much standing if front about 10 feet away, it shines and irittates my eyes. With the lows, I'd have to kneel and look straight into the light to get a headache. Just use the normal setup of the projectors.

Has anyone done 4x mtecs and relays. Are they legal?

i dunno if 4x are legal, but they are brighter than other bulbs ive used.
