I thinkin about selling/trading in the civic. by either the end of this year or ealy january. got ideas on good cars to look for that wont break the 10k mark?

Cars that wont break the 10k mark? i say just keep the civic. the Civ should be worth more or around that price. and since you're the original owner, you know what your car has been through. sometimes it can be a gamble buying used.

Get a 240SX for 2-3k , then do a Sylvia swap for another 2-3k.

I say sr20 DET. Cheap price for the car, junk the motor and get a sr20det. The car will be about 4-5000.00 and then do the body work paint and then build the motor. The whole project would be about 10,000.00 but well worth it. Sensemotorsports.com has the well needed silvia conversion as well, good call dave!!!!!!!! The silvis swap is reall cheap through them. Check it out.
