ran with a prelude

i'm on my way to work; its 7:30am, i'm runnin late, so i'm driving pretty agressively. as i turn onto the highway ramp, i notice in the rear view mirror, the dark green gen 2 prelude up on my butt. so i tear around the turn and hammer it....expectedly he was right up on me. so i decided to slow down...its not worth the predictable embarrasment if i race him. he backs off and we merge onto the minimal flow of traffic. as usual i take off to the far left, but i'm still going regular speed (~75mph) he's still up on my tail and can't pass me due to cars in the lanes right of us. for some reason he changes lanes to the right and slow down to match the car ahead of him. so i took this opportunity to ATTEMPT to intimidate him with the sound of my exhaust and intake. so i hammer it and take off..he immediately rips back into my lane and starts to chase me down. so we tear it up...i hit 90 ... 95... 100 ... 105 ...110 ...and every time i look at the mirror he is closer. he then changes lanes to pass me as we came around a twisty part of the highway. i slowed a bit to 100 and started pulling away, he was slowing down liek craaazy. i maintained my speed and took the curves and bends at ~100 while i was pulling further and further away from him. by the end of the curvy section...i was 10+ cars ahead of him...at which point i took it as fast as i could. i kept watchin him...as he started creepin on me again. at this point i was at just past 120 and maintaining my speed, not accelerating. he got even closer second by second. so i decide...ill quit while i'm ahead..and i shut t down and just coasted. he thens pulls up next to me and laughed and waved. he looked back at the road, and he took off with a loud chirp (mind you, we were at 80 mph), and took the next exit.

i'm not sure why i lost him around the turns..i mean, i knew he wanted to stay with me....i doubt its the car, cuz i know the ludes got that torque transfer system to help them take turns. maybe he was scared...either way...i can't call this a win for me...just a road encounter. hope you'all don;t think this story was TOO pointless.

pointless?? no...stupid?? yes

you were doing 120 in morning traffic on an interstate? are you crazy? no offense man, its a good kill, but still, you could have killed someone if you hit them...some law abiding commuter on their way to work, like me. People have messed w.me like that on my way to work, but i NEVER respond to what they give...not in the mornings. i take I-75 to work, and when i get on the highway, it can be totally clear...no other cars...then around a bend it'll be dead stop traffic. if you would have rear-ended someone going 120 you would have been killed...be more careful next time.

im not trying to flame you...but im sure that alot of people on this site will agree with what i have to say here

Yea, it's very tempting to battle on an open highway like that, but be careful nonetheless. One small unexpected bump can send you fish-tailing at those speeds.

Eh, I have really lost interest in battling our cars in stock form. The only interesting races I see on this forum are which take place in the Turbo Hondas.

wtf... how can a lude chirp it going 80? unless hes running crazy boost (then he woulda smoked you in the 1st place) there is no way he can do it.

LOL, Mr. Reytito! That's funny. Good story even though people seem to be so quick to call BS on this site. That's why I don't usually bother posting stories of driving encounters. Unless you have video, peeps hate too easily here. Everything is a **** fight. Blah. Anyway, just curious what highway you decided to tear up here in C-bus.
