Talking Actually..

Actually,

You can get a kit for around $1,500.00 to $1,600.00 if you shop around....Course it will be off of the net.

My friend has a 4th gen civic.. These kits are on ebay for really cheap (not sure how trustworthy this is), but I thought kits were only like 300 bux or around there too? Doesn't a kit only consist of brackets and stuff? I mean, 1500 would make sence for installation price.. But that doesn't even make sence to do if your paying so much for just the kit!

theyre a lot more complex than a few brackets, if you had any knowlegde in hydrolic lifts you could probably do a diy job on it

ok.. no there arent re-enforcements required.. and they're not really hydrolicly lifted... its about the HINGE..... u need a proper one thats designed right and gonna last as long as the car... not mention there are little things to consider .. like adjustment and whatnot.. making sure the car closes and opens right each time.. MnDtheGap will tell you ... its not as simple as putting an hinge on .. ive seen his car first hand and its alot more then just a hinge. and NO ... ull NEVER see the kit for 300.. thats nuts ... if u think thats how much it costs.. its NEVER been that cheap.... and well.. if u do buy it and ur door falls off... take a pic for me cause i wanna laugh. kits range from 1500-2500 with or without install...

oh and while u may think its as easy as putting a bracket on .. your sadly mistaken... the fenders themselves need be CUT or bended.

boy was i wrong about those things, without checking anything out i assumed it was just a plain hinge and a couple of extra screws. but now i htink that 1500-2500 isnt really worth it unless u have that kinda money just laying around, its not really worth saving up for. even though its pretty rare on cars and does look pretty hot, i dont think i'll be getting the kit any time soon
