Goddam Potholes!!!

I'm driving back home from Staples at 1:30am, (I was making photocopies for my architecture course) and didn't see this pothole/huge ****ing hole in the ground. I ended up driving right over it, denting my rim, and busting a motor mount. The motor mount was replaced (Thank God for warranties), but what the hell am I supposed to do about my rim? Can I get money from the city?

Ive heard of cities that do that but not sure which ones specifically. Need to search locally for stuff like that.

You should sue them for the price of a new set of rims. You don't have to be hurt to sue the city.

Yes you can....same thing happened to me. I got reimbursed for two new rims and tires...you just gotta know who to talk to.

u need a witness or a report that you hit that pothole that caused the damage to get money for it. Whenever something like that happens...just have a witness...or even better, call the local police and have them put it in file...my buddy did that and got everythjing payed for when he hit a hole in the road made by construction that wasn't marked...

Potholes are definitely a pain in the butt. Around me they are everywhere...thank god i've gotten good at swerving around them. It definitely sucks when they come out of nowhere tho...
