Most of the day I was stuck in the 52's I only had one 51, and it was bairly a 51 (51.8) so there really was a full second out there.......

WHat do you mean Tune? Go now. Learn to control what you have then modify after that. Besides, noting you put on your car is going to help you win right now any ways. Seriously. Right now, the only part on youre car thats going to make you slow on an autocross course is the nut behind the wheel (YOU). once you need to drop off a few tenths to place then ya, changing a few parts may be the key. But right now its easier and cheeper to tune the driver, and you'll get more out of it.
yah thats true...im also kinda worried of the stress autocross will put on my car...considering i have stock shocks and zero dollars to replace them...i dont really wanna horse around...my car is lowered and ive heard stories of busted shocks etc....so i dont wanna become a victim also!

I'm on stock shocks too... Not really helping me in the corners, but they havent blown yet....
Most of the extra stress you'll put on your car goes to the Breaks and tires....... yup breaks and tires...... You'll probably do oil changes a little more often. Other wise, I havent done or needed to have done any "Special" repairs or maintinance.

<----- all season long on stock shocks, springs, and brakes. Haven't killed any of them yet. Just don't do it on stock tires. Well you could.... but its not nearly as fun as stickies.

You walk the coures in the morning, that way you get an Idea as to where you're suppose to go. Even so, some times people get lost. NO worries, after a while you can read the course alot better. And you wont get lost.
you seriously got a HUGE course...lots of straightaways, you can actually exit first gear. i tried my hand at autox and the course was so tiny i didnt leave first (well shifted once, but thats it). plus there wasnt lines, so i f'ed up even after walking the course, but oh well...i still like to drag a lot more.
yah i guess i could try it with my stock shocks. Im sure they wouldnt be too bad, but the tires i have arent very sticky. Khumo supra. Ive already lost the back end around a corner and almost spun out...but maybe because i hammered it right before the corner!! It would definately be something i would be into doing forshure though.

Thanks! Thats what I keep telling people, Civics were ment to TURN not race in a straight line!!!!!
to each their own I guess....
But when they are at the drag strip complaining about how slow their car is, I'll be taking 1st place in my class and out running a lot of "Faster" cars too.
