ex cluster into dx?

I don't see why it wouldnt plug in. But if it doesn't...you can still find the tach wire and plug it to an aftermarket.
If no one answers ur question, my suggestion would be to find someone with an EX and try it out. The cluster removal is quite easy. Just a few screws and clips.
