Paint & VIN # (Solved)

Paint & VIN # (Solved) hey fellas. I'm not a car guru, so sorry for another newb question.
Ok I've always seen that little tag behind the front windshield with a bunch of numbers and letters stamped into it. I need the 11th digit of the VIN for something. I'm not going to reveal all of my VIN because I feel it is important and can get me into trouble if someone else plans on using it for whatever reason. Just for privacy's sake. Well this is what's on the little plate:
1HG EM222##L##0###
OK. So which is the 11th digit? Is it L or is it 0 ?
I got a little confused because I wasn't sure if '1HG' counted as part of the VIN being that it's separated, or if the VIN started at the ever popular 'EM2' phrase. Thanks in advance.
