PB Blaster + Water = ?????

Ok, I was washing the car today, and halfway through, decided to completely detail it and all...so I opened the hood, let it cool a little, and ran out to the garage for the degreaser. We were out. All we had was PB Blaster, which is a really strong cleaner/lubricant. It can completely dissolve a styrofoam cup in under 2 minutes, but under the hood, that shouldn't matter. Anyway, I sprayed it on the intake manifold, and a little ran down onto one of the belts, so I freaked a little and sprayed it down with water, cleaned all the stuff off. Now I'm left wondering...is this gonna do any damage to the belts or anything? Cuz if so, I'm gonna be coming up with excuses REAL quick, this ain't my car (mom's, I'm driving it for the rest of the week).

Anybody have any ideas?

What i'd do, is see if you have any similar materials to what fan belts are made of (or just old fan belts), typically rubber (what fan belts are made of) is pretty resistant to solvents, unless they're petrolium based... So, I'd say you'll be fine, but i'd check it tomorrow, and see if the belt is cracked or splitting or anything.

Dude, i use pb blaster, if you got it on your belt, and had left it there, it would be toast, but since you rinsed it off, it should be ok, but if you read the bottle, it says water doesnt affect it, you might want to use some belt dressing, it lubes the belts bascily, msg me on msn if you have more questions
