B L A C K O U T!!!!!!......where Were U At The Time!!!!!

just wanna know where u guys were at the exact time of the blackout.....and what u guys did during the time during the black out.....heres my story!!

man i was at work at Century gear ....working on the machines when the power when out.....it was nuts!!!......we just thought it was our area.....so we went home early.......to figure out every traffic light was out!!!....it was pure chaos on the way home...almost got in 4 accidents.....damn ppl dont know how to treat intersections as 4-way stops..........then when i got home i just took a shower....took a nap........then i remembered i had to clean my car cuz i was getting ready for importfest....but right after i washed it....the news told me to conserve water....doh!!!...........then the next day i called imporfest.......then i had to make a trip to the gas station cuz i was really low on gas so i can make it to the skydome!!!......and they said the show was still on and to roll in.......so i drove to toronto only to find out that they postponed it to sept 20th!!!......damn guys made me drive all the way down there for nothing!!!......but didnt feel as bad as ppl who drove down from vancouver though!!!....sux for them!!! ........

man it was hella boring at my house the nite of the black out........it was soooo hot....and i played cards all nite......

I was at home doing my business in the bathroom when the power died.
Eventually I got extremely bored at home with no T.V., radio, lights, computer, etc... that I went to Big's house and we balled and played badminton

I was in Gatineau Quebec when it happened and didn't know about it until I got back to Ottawa. If only I had my radio on and not the CD player I coulda stopped for gas in Quebec and then at FreddySi's place...Instead I spent two hours in traffic that I usually get through in 20 minutes. Then I had to go back out there that night for gas as my car was about to run out...2 hours to go back because everyone in the city was trying to get over there. 40 minutes in line at a gas station...
Got the power back at around 1 in the afternoon Friday and it hasn't gone out since, but they're still calling for Rolling blackouts so it may get cut out again.

My mom lives in a high rise in Toronto and said the view was spectacular. All she could see was the traffic. You could follow it all the way out of the city...she took pics, I'll post them when I get them

I was at work. I thought it was just a local blackout but when my friend called home (across town) it was out at his place too. I was like WTF! I went out to my car and turned on the radio and heard the news. I couldnt believe it! The traffic in front of my work was already building up like crazy. I just decided to kill some time and polish the car until the traffic died down. Driving home was very easy and probably almost faster then usual without waiting for stoplights.

I was at work supporting an end user from Ancaster, Ontario... while I was talking to her, she told me that the lights just went off and she had to call me back later. Then as soon as I hung up, a co-worker had the same thing happen to his end user but the user was calling from somewhere else, somewhere far from Ancaster.. I knew something was wrong right away. The next thing you know.... ZAPPP!!!! Lights are off in our building... but PC's were still on, generators come on and lights come back. Thinking it would be back to normal in a few minutes, but minutes turned to hours until my shift was done. We stayed DTown until 8:00pm after my 6:30pm shift, chilled at a park and shhhmoked!!

went home and went to a friend's house... and SHHMOKED some mo!
