Re grinds work great... you CANT get a aftermarket shaft because they DO NOT make one. And its not always the size of the lobes, but the duration. So, invest some of that $$$BLING into an education. Also, how do you plan to port your valves? You mean port your head?

Nope. Around April I called every cam maker I could find and no one made one but a few people re grind. Crower and Gude (sp?) are the only people who regrind that I am aware of. With a Crower re grind, port & pollish job, and depending on your means of power (NA or Boost) you could deck the head a few thou. and see some good gains. Also with a adj. cam gear, full pully kit and other basic bolt ons would be a good idea.

Hmm, I've just had an idea. I know on alot of Motorcycle cams they just take stock cores, weld them up to be bigger, and then regirnd them. So, call Crower and get the details on they're regrind process. I'm sure you could find a company to do that for you and then you would have your big lobes. However, with larger lobes, you might run into valve slap and would probably have to find some new valve springs that would fit also because your stockers would not be able to take the added lift. Just a thought
