alternating parking and turn signal bulbs
i think it might be cool to have the turn signal and parking light bulbs alternate when you have the turn signal and hazards on. anyone know how to do this? i think i would have to buy a relay, but i wouldnt know what kind, how to connect it, and then how to make the parking bulb blink. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

im not sure if its even correct. . .but the harness that holds the bulb. he swapped the wire that is giong to the turn signals to the brakes and the brakes to the turn signal.
seems like a cool idea but after i pictured what it would look like, i think it would make ur car look like a space ship thats about to take off. but i guess if u like it then go for it

i think it would look fine. i dont see anything wrong with it. i had it on my old 91 civic hatch beater before that car broke and it looked good on that.

go to your local automotive store and buy two SPDT relays (Single Pole Double Throw) one for each side
...at my local autozone i found some near the driving lights they make for trucks or whatever u wanna call them...
ok find the hot wire going to the turn signal and snip it in half...
connect one end of this snipped wire to terminal 86 and the other end to terminal 87...
then find the hot wire going to the parking light and snip it in half...
connect one end of this to terminal 30...and the other end to terminal 87a..
lemme break it down
86 - Turn Signal Wire
85 - Turn Signal Wire
30 - Parking Light Wire
87 - Empty
87a - Parking Light Wire
That should give ya the desired effect...let me know how it works

i was just checking some other forums on this topic and had another question. will my parking lights have to be on for the turn signals to work? is there some way to make them work w/o the parking lights on?

nope they shouldnt have to be on for it to work correctly....get yourself a test light and start probing...look around and explore a bit...
its set up so whenever the turn signals are on the parking lights are off....and whenever they are off the parking lights are on..so it will work fine with your hazards
edit:
...they wont alternate unless you have your parking lights turned on..they'll be just like normal..is that what u mean?

I did both. I reversed the brakes and the turns, and also swapped the running lights and the turn signals.
When you use the little round hole on the headlights, you cant really see it flash, there for you get ticket. Any who, if you need help with wiring anything to do with the civics, hit me up.
