Question Injen Installation HELP ME

I've done a search in the forums and I can't find instructions on installing an Injen intake on a 2001 Civic LX. I hear it's not that hard, but I'd like to have some guidance before I take my *&#@ apart on Saturday. Please let me know if you have experience installing one. Thank you.

Cheers,
ChiZX

Read the directions that came with it. Its easier than changing oil. Take out the old intake system, bolt in the new one.
The only thing you may need is the clear headlight DIY... to get the bumper off.

Talking Bumper Removal?

I'm installing the regular Injen intake, not the race division CAI. Would I still need to remove the front bumper?

Cheers,

Oh come on... you need help installing an SRI?
Just take out the stock box and bolt it in. It doesnt get much easier than that.
The only thing I remember that was a pain was getting at the ring clamps that hold the stock box to the throttle body. Use a socket wrench with an extension and loosen the top clamp only. Once the box is off, then remove the bottom one and take the adapter off the TB.

Sorry, not everyone is an expert like you. I'm looking for help, if I didn't need help, I wouldn't waste everyone's time. I purchased the SRI off of eBay so I'm not sure it comes with the original instructions. I'll post some pics when I can so there's a DIY for autos. I saw the DIY for the AEM CAI so I'll use the first section of that to remove the stock plastic intake thing.

Cheers,
ChiZX

follow the DIY for the AEM CAI (very similar) and you should be able to get the hang of it. Remove the battery and you'll have some extra room to move around in. For a SRI you won't need to remove the bumper.

I never had to remove the battery. Everything was easily accessible (with a 6" socket adapter)

It looks like it's going to rain on Sunday here in Chicago so I'll give it a go. What kind of damage can I do if I don't install the intake correctly? I'll take some pics so I can create a DIY.

Cheers,
ChiZX

well if depends on what you do improperly cause when playing with your engine you run the risk of ruining it. Just keep everything away from the throttle body.
