Hey guys,

Im wondering if it is normal for the sun roof to rattle a bit while driving? I have the sun roof closed.......not being used........and I hear a squeak or a gentle rattling while driving.........but only when Im going over small bumps. Please help out. Thanks.

Yes, most things in the car will rattle. I get that sunroof rattle all the time. It may be the cover hitting something. Don't know what to do.

Do you have the moon roof visor? If you do that is probably what you are hearing while driving.

We have people come into the dealership all the time complaining about the road noise coming from their moon roof. But its the visor and there is nothing that we can do about it.

That squeak sound from the moonroof could be from the rubber seal of the roof rubbing against the metal frame. It makes that sound if the rubber seal is dirty or if it's starting to dry out a bit. That's why you only hear it when it's closed.

Try spraying some silicone all around the moonroof seal. Rub off the silicone to get the surface nice and clean, and then spray the silicone on again a 2nd time and leave it there ... that helped me get rid of my closed moonroof squeaks.

Mine only squeaks/rattles when its open. Seems like every honda has this problem that ive ever been in or driven. Our old accord did it, my old prelude did it, my mom's odyssey does it, and my dad's TL does it too. I guess im just used to it now
