My brother in law backed his Yukon into the hood of my 01 Civic. He of course has no damage at all. My left side of the hood sticks up about 1/2 inch and the front right by the left light is crunched inward. He missed the light, dont know how. I went to get estimates and it is going to cost $946-$1200 to get fixed, according to the collision people. I called the dealer about getting a new hood and it is $320 primer only. To get painted would be $500+. My brother in law
said he did not pay his insurance this past month so he has none.
I offered to call in a hit and run and he pay the deductible which is $500 but he is not willing
, I really wanna take it out of his
but I want my car fixed. I was thinking of getting a CF Hood OEM style cause I dont like those scoops, expecially since I have a CAI, no need for a scoop. What do you guys think, other than making a hit on my brother in law? Where can I get a hood???????????

but im not too sure about that. if that doesnt work...try looking on ebay and import part places. then theres the last alternative...order from Honda...they always know how to take peoples money real good.

If he's driving a Yukon and can't afford his insurance, I'd say his priorities are a little off.
If you have uninsured motorist coverage, I'd use that. Then get the deductable from him using any means necessary.

I know he's your brother in law but since he's being a punk about it, file a police report and then go to your insurance. Explain the situation to your agent and he/she will then usually try to go after him and make him pay for the repairs. If he's still a punk about it, that's where the uninsured motorist comes in. You'll still have to pay the deductable, but atleast it'll still go on his record. It's sounds harsh, but he's being an a$$, so why not? Good luck man.
tell him to get insurance now, and try find a company with a small excess on claims. Then just fudge the date of the accident. Just make sure the bonet dont get rusty if its down to bare metal
Make that POS pay. If he doesn't **** up his car. Follow him the next time he goes shopping and drive a cart into his car a couple times... See if he has insurance then that bastard!
