Yay!!! Finally got my body kit on! (PICS)
My friends help me do the prep work (EXTREMELY exhausting) and I painted it COMPLETELY myself at a friends furniture painting booth. Anyway, fun learning experience, i madea few minor mistakes, (clear coat runs on one of the edges, but nothing too noticable, but overalll, looks OEM quality paint! I'm happy. Oh and the sideskirts are fiberglass, and completely custom.

I kinda thought the same thing. I like em this way. Is it me or did the pic quality go out the window? I had to resize them and reduce the quality to post them, but im at a friends house looking at them, and they dont look the same as when I posted them at home this morning. Maybe its his monitor im viewing it w/ right now.

Either way, the kit looks clean as hell.
Totally, though. . . seeing those sides on a coupe makes me want to turn them around. . . but on the sedan they look right. I think it just has something to do with proportions. I'm pretty damn picky when it comes to that kind of thing, though. . . so just take my VERY mild and friendly criticizm with a grain of salt.
The kit looks VERY nice, and so long as you're happy with it (which I'm sure you are, that's very nice work you did there) I'd just leave them alone, and perhaps fix the clearcoat issue on the one skirt.
Good work!

If I could turn them around, I would. But you guys probably have no idea how much work it took JUST to make them fit on the car properly with no door hitting. Constant measuring and remeasuring and grinding and cutting. I'm satisfied with the overall result, although I did make a few mistakes here and there, but then again, this is my first time painting. One of the mistakes I made was wrapping them in wax paper for the ride home so they wont get knicked or scratched while in my car... well I overestimated the drying of the clearcoat, and it was slightly wet when i wrapped them for take home, needless to say, SLIGHT spots of clear coat rubbed off here and there, though you'd have to use close inspection to really see it. Oh, and when me and my friend were installing it, we took off the back wheels, and I rolled it on his lawn cuz i didnt want to drop it straight down.. thinking it would ROLL STRAIGHT, it hit a bump on his lawn and freakin turned! Straight for the freshly painted sideskirts! My friend made a diving tackcle and almost killed himself trying to save the sideskirts haha! He saved it for the most part, the tire did knick one of them and made some tired tread marks, though very tiny. Had to touch it up with touch up paint. Anyways.. take your time if youw ant to try this, and dont do get too excited.
