Thumbs down Having a problem.

okay if someone could help me out or tell me how to fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it a whole bunch. Aight here is the run down. See i am gettin this weird noise like as soon as i get to 40 mph and as i accelarate you can hear it and even when i lets go a the gas. Its not like super loud but more like a slight hum. Its a noticable noise. Sounds like somewhere in the front. Me not knowing that much about fixin the problem or where to start i took it to the dealer. They gave me a bunch a b/s about that " as long as the check engine light isnt on then there is no problem" But im like theres a friggin noise. And then the guy gives me a lecture on how i screwed the whole car by putting on a set a rims and my parada tires. i dont know what to do or where to start. If someone could gimme some info i would appreciate it. Thanks a bunch.

how many miles are on your wheels/tires? You could just need to rotate them. Or they could just have more road noise.

The hum is probably the tire tread. Directional tires tend to do that. You just gotta deal with it.

I hear the same thing, it is a whirring/humming kind of noise almost.
It isn't my tires, because I heard it BEFORE el rims.
I think it is due to some air leak? It is not as bad as the other things that I am going to have to get fixed now; so I am ignoring it.
I have a faulty suspension and messsed up vents to deal with.

Its just the sound of the tires going over the roughness of the pavement. Its not going to mess anything up, so just turn the stereo up a little more. And your dealer is full of **** if they're telling you changing your rims messed up the whole car.. so **** em. What size are the tires?

Like through all the diffrent terrain. i was scared a messing things up. its prolly is the tires because the noise was there with the other yokohama tires too. right now i gots the 215/35wr. Thanks for all a the help i appreciate it alot

Is it a 5sp? If so it kind`a sounds like it might be the "throw-out" bearing in the clutch assembly.
It is doutful that tires would make that noise that your "talking" about.
If you have an auto trany check your fluid.
Best of luck !!
