Question Which turbo for my 7th gen ex?

I got a '03 Civic EX Coupe 5 speed, stock motor.

Whats a good turbo thats safe for my engine.
one that isnt outragiously lagged. ie spools up pretty quick.
but still has lots of top end.

a link would be especially helpful

thanks

almost forgot....
just the turbo, not kit....
a good one for a custom job, that wont compromise space, and a good aftercooler that wont require cutting any body parts(ie not too big)

O.K., I have the same car (2003 Civic EX)and would like a whole kit. Part #'s and Manufacturer names would be helpful. Links are good! How much can mileage can I expect to lose on my daily driver.
Purchase in November '02 it's got 11,382 miles so far!

There are two kits that I know off.
Stafford Fabrication Here
Turbo Discounters Here

There is a dyno sheet for the Turbo Discounters kit in a EX Here
I haven't seen a dyno sheet for the Stafford Frabrication for a EX.

Hope this helps.

Yes but I wasn't sure if that is for the EX. So I guess that it is right?

I really dig the max-rev kit but I'm just talking about the turbo only.

The one they use there is a T3-T04 VB-something
is there a better one than that that isnt too much for a D17 and dont have a lot of lag?

The SF LX kit with stock exhaust and plugs puts out the same whp as the TD extreme kit on an ex with an exhaust, coils, bigger injectors, and an Apex'i SAFC.

Yeah I noticed that. I kinda based some of my decision off the Look, Quality of Parts, and Availabily of Service. Then I picked the Turbo Discounters

Hey I'm not here to take sides.

The TD produced 10 more lbs tq. The fact is that I still haven't seen a dyno of a EX with the SF Kit so I can't comment on it. I was just giving they guy some info that if he would search a little harder he would have been able to find. BTW V-Tec is so overrated.

Ive been recently fabricating some parts for SF and through my experince I would have to recoomend the SF guys because they know there stuff and are good people to do buisness with. The numbers point to which has the best output and I have yet to see any porblems rise with a SF kit.. That just my $.02165 after tax...

Yeah from what I've heard the SF guys have unbeatable customer service.

Mike Stafford even offered to install a kit for $100, and for $500 to fly out and pick up one guys car and drive it back turbo'd, im sure you can get the parts powdercoated any color you want, if there is a ploblem with the kit Im positive you will get more support from the SF guys,...and faster

These guys I assume are real gearheads, and thats who you will be dealing with...not some 9-5er answering the phone who doesnt know what he is talking about. I would buy the kit just for the excellent service. I really gotta give these guys a pat on the back, they take pride in their work and dont mind going out of their way. real people.
