It makes the car shift faster and more positively. Typically either its either a re-valved body or new gaskets and opening up of some fluid passages. Usually also upgrade the torque converter with it. That is... if I'm thinking of the right thing.

Rep Power: 0 D just outta curiousity, which shop did u get the quote from? I know a few of the owners around here and maybe could get u a better deal. If anything u should gain a little in the times. I think shift kits are upgradet the transmissions for heavier loads. I'd definitely get one. You'll probably help the wheels to hook up faster, hence better trac, and better times.

Rep Power: 320 sup Derek...i've been looking for an Auto Shift kit also...i kept looking on the boards but i never came up with anything till now...i was also thinking about getting this Auto Shift Kit, it looks convincing enough to get...i also had in mine this peformance torque converter....

I still need to contact them to see whether they have an application for our civics but I'm sure they do kuz they state that they make TC for all honda's, acura's, etc.
