speeding in norcal

In april i got a ticket for going 85mph in a 65mph zone... i went to court today and the judge said that i can't do traffic school because of a law thats says 20mph+ = NOT ELIGIBLE FOR TRAFFIC SCHOOL!!! so my question is.. what happens to my record and ensurance?? this is my first ticket and i have no knowledge about this situation.. also, is there anything i can do..

weeeeeeeeell...

since you've already went to court, I don't think there is much that you can do...

you will get a point on your record and your insurance may (probably) go up.

yeah since you went to court there's nothing you can do now. 20mph+ is considered reckless driving, that why you can't take traffic school. most cops usually lower down to 15mph over so you can take traffic school. You'll have a point on your license, if your under 25 your insurance will go up and you'll have to wait 3yrs for it to go away.
