Question underage drinking

so the other night.....i got caught w/ 4 other ppl for underage drinking
i didn't lie to the cop i told him i had been drinking at my house before i came to the place i was at.....and it was the same for everyone else except my brother who was driving,,,i was the only one arrested and took to juvenile, the rest their parents came and picked them up and went home

i have a court date next friday for the arrangement,,,i was wondering if anyone knew i was looking forward to getting in trouble?

like will i get my license taking away?, i wasn't driving......

will i get probation, community service, a fine or what?

PLZ help me by telling me the answers to these questions if u know

Now when you say that "it was the same for everyone else except my brother", do you mean that everyone was drinking respectively at their own houses or that everyone was drinking at your house?

D17CivicEX is an unknown quantity at this point
kids where i live... they sit in middlee of down, in their trucks in cars.... about 3 cases of beer... drinking away... and the cop drives by and waves at em...

anyways... you shouldnt have got in trouble... most that should happen is a $100 fine.... happened to a friend of mine... passed out in the bed of his truck... and since he was "drunk inside a vehicle" they arrested him...

I was pulled over and had a bowl and my buddy had bud on him. The car smelled so the cop searched and found the bowl, also found the bud on my firend. He just wrote us a citation giving us identical charges for possesion of paraphenelia and illegal substance with intent to use, and sent us on our way.

I cannot believe you got arrested What proof did he have that you were drunk, did you take a breathalizer? I am not sure how it works with juviniles but I know I was pulled over after I stole a skeleton and was drunk as hell, and refused to take the breathalizer. I also had a bowl on me that time, but they dropped the marijuana and drug DUI charges because I plead guilty to the regular DUI.

Why were you the only one arrested?

^Was you friend in the truck under 21?

Oh yeah, it will be hard for you to get any real insight to what you will be facing, from anybody on this site, so get a lawyer. Every county is different, a lawyer is a must! You may think that you are paying him a lot, but he will probably save you more in the long run. Watch out for lawyers who offer different prices, as if he will do an ok job for one price, but if you pay him more he will do better.

There is no arraignment in juvinile cases, there is what are callled ajudication and disposition hearings. The ajudication hearing is to see if there is enough evidence against you, and the disposition hearing is to determine your punishment if you are found delingquent or in need of state supervision in the first hearing. There is no "guilty" in juvenile courts.

You could get your license takin away, community service (you will prob get this), probation, and/or fines. You will also probably have to go to some type of drug classes.sfWRGfgnb

but i thought you said you got drunk at your house before??.....anyways my friends were driiving drunk and totaled 2 cars, all the driver got was a year of his liscence taken away, and i thinkn a little community service. i went to juvenille court, and its not in the big room with all the ppl watching and stuff. you go in this little room with a long table and you sit at one end and the judge at the other with all kinds of important ppl too. since you are a juvenille its considered private or something so they cant do it publicly or put your name in the newspaper for being arrested

my friend's little brother lost his license for walking around tahoe with a beer. He was on the California side of the border. I also remember when i was 17 nearly puking on a cop while talking to him at an in-n-out and he just said "haha man you are hammered. Show me you dd and get out of here."

I agree with JackBurton - get a damn lawyer! They are not as expensive as most people assume they are - and a good one can probably get this dealt with more in your favor. If you just go in trying to defend yourself you're at their mercy, which means, they COULD be nice to you - if they feel like it! How many judges do you know with a reputation for being really nice to underage drinkers?? If you show up with a lawyer however they suddenly have to deal with the actual law instead of just whatever they feel like doing to you

Just my 2 cents!

Congrats!

I need to start asking whether people have already had a previous deferral before suggesting attorneys. Time to fly straight now, most States only allow one diversion every 5-7 years

that is the most retarded thing ever!!! arrested for underage drinking.. wow, cops in the states have problems. You should just get a fine and be on your way if at the most.. its not even public intox, u were in a car and they had no proof that u were drinking. fak US cops, i feel sorry for you man. Is there a prosecuter that u can talk to and make a meeting to maybe have a resolution b4 a trail ?
