Damn... You are lucky as hell.... He could have got you for gross exhibition of speed. That far over the speed limit, your looking at a pretty good sized ticket. I'm thinking in the $200+ range. Seriously though, what were you doing that you needed to be going that fast on a public road? Please be very careful, we don't need you signing over your own death certificate.

Another person... WTF is wrong with you all... Do you not care about your future whatsoever? Evading a police officer and he let you off with only a speeding ticket. Y'all don't quite grasp how lucky you all are. Anything over I believe 15 mph over the speed limit is ground for an arrest. And for being 17 that could have been total revoking of your DL. On top of that. 110 on a traffic filled street. Not smart at all. So many people's lives put at risk, but that's ok. Cuz the cop was in a good mood.

1. Over here, the ticket says what you're gonna pay...
2. Payments here are: $50 when you pass the limit, $5 each mph you exceed.
3. 100+mph gets you a $500 invitation to the Cop Ball.
Sucks.

yeah i believe in cali anytime your going over 100 on public streets and/or highways it's automatically assault w/ a deadly weapon and they will usually impound your car w/o question. Slow it down people.

Do you guys know how many points will be going on my record?

Btw this was like at 3 in the morning, I was the only one on the road. Hence my radar detector didn't help. When I came over the mountain he tagged me right away, I had no alert because he wasn't using his radar guns on any other cars. I was the only one on the highway.

when i was coming back from Missouri to Indiana, was doing 95 on a 70 hwy. no car anywhere...except a cop was going the other way...he went across the grassy median to get me...he said that he clocked me at 96. i think if you go over 25mph, that's wreckless driving. so i went to the judge, and told him at i was going at 85, and he believed me...only paid 95 bucks for the ticket. now i drive 10+ on hwy, and speed limit on local.

the cost is going to vary depending on where you live. Tickets there cost different from tickets in houston, tx. and our tickets costs different then tickets issued in florida. You have to call the court and find out. Usually though the first 10 MPH over the speed limit is a certain amount, and every MPH after that, the price goes up per MPH. Here it is $5 for each MPH. But again it may just be a set price there.

^^true true^^ speeding ticket prices vary depending upon the county in which you got cited. i got clocked at 98 in Fresno, CA and my ticket was $450. u just gotta wait for the citation to come in the mail dude. if you hav'et gotten a moving violation w/in the last 18 months, you are qualified for traffic school. that should take it off ur records. =)
